Wrapped in clouds and local legends, Osorno Volcano is a famed symbol of Patagonia. Its ascent is a magical experience: one in which you will find yourself in the nature and going further than your own limits.
Rising out of surrounding fields and native forest, because it is displaced to the west of the Andes range, the Osorno is a perfect viewpoint of the geography of Southern Chile.
The ascent towards the 2,656m summit starts before sunrise, and it will take us through a demanding journey of scree, snow and ice climbing.
From the summit, we not only take deep breath, we will also enjoy the panoramic views of the Lakes Region: Todos los Santos lake, Petrohue river, Llanquihue and Rupanco lakes, volcanoes Puntiagudo, Tronador, Calbuco, Casablanca, Puyehue and if there is good visibility, the Lanín and Llaima volcanoes in the far off Araucania Region.
